Domain names are not actually DNS servers. Instead, domain names are used as identifiers for locations on the Internet.

When a user types in a domain name, their computer looks up the corresponding IP address.

There are two types of domain names: public domain names and private domain names. Public domain names are registered with the domain name registrar, and are available to anyone.

Private domain names are registered with the domain name registrar, but are only available to the registered owner.
