Creating a DNS record for a domain controller is a simple process that can be completed using the DNS server management console or the DNS client.

To create a DNS record for a domain controller:

1. Open the DNS server management console.

2. In the console, click the Forward Lookup Zone (GLOBAL) node.

3. On the left-hand side of the console, under the Forward Lookup Zone (GLOBAL) node, click the Add Zone button.

4. In the Add Zone dialog box, type the name of the domain controller zone in the Domain Name text box, and then click the OK button.

5. In the left pane of the console, under the newly created zone, click the A (NS) resource record tab.

6. On the right-hand side of the console, under the A (NS) resource record tab, click the Add Record button.

7. In the Add Record dialog box, type the IP address of the domain controller in the Host Name text box, and then click the OK button.

8. In the left pane of the console, under the newly created record, click the R (A) resource record tab.

27. In the left pane of the console, under the Forward Lookup Zone (GLOBAL) node, click the Update button.

28. In the Update dialog box, type the new IP address of the domain controller in the Domain Name text box, and then click the OK button.

29. In the left pane of the console, under the Forward Lookup Zone (GLOBAL) node, click the OK button to close it.

30. In the DNS server management console, under the Forward Lookup Zone (GLOBAL) node, click the OK button to close the console.
