DNS probe is a process that is used to check the DNS server(s) for the existence of a name or host record. It is also used to check the content of a name or host record.

DNS probe can be terminated at any time.

When DNS probe is completed, it will return a response that indicates the DNS server found the requested record.

A completed DNS probe will not return any results if the requested record does not exist on the DNS server.

A DNS probe can be terminated by pressing the “End” button on the DNS probe application or by pressing the “Cancel” button on the DNS probe window.

Ending the DNS probe will not terminate the DNS lookup process.
