Private Internet Access (PIA) is a popular VPN service that has been praised for its strong security and ability to unblock geo-restricted content. Many users also report good compatibility with Amazon Prime Video, though there are a few caveats to keep in mind.

First and foremost, PIA is not officially supported by Amazon. However, many users report success by using a third-party VPN app like ExpressVPN or NordVPN on their Amazon Fire TV device.

These apps allow you to connect to a server outside of the US, which can trick Amazon into thinking you’re located in another country.

If you’re using PIA and don’t want to use a VPN, you may still be able to access Amazon Prime Video if you’re living in a supported country. Simply sign in to your Amazon Prime account and select the “Watch Amazon Prime Video in Countries That are Not Supported by Our Service” option.

This will allow you to watch content in countries like China, Japan, and Brazil, which are not currently supported by PIA.
