Tor, originally created by the U.S.

Naval Research Laboratory, is a network of volunteer-run servers that helps protect the privacy of users by bouncing their traffic through a distributed network of servers. Tor is most commonly used to protect the privacy of online activities, such as browsing the web and sending emails.

Some people believe that Tor can also be used to hide the IP address of a computer. However, this is not always the case.

Tor can only protect the user’s anonymity, not their location.
