DNS is a system that allows computers to find each other by their hostnames. A DNS server contains a database of all the hostnames in the world, and can provide information about a hostname, such as the IP address, the type of server, and the time zone.

You can use the nslookup command to check the DNS server on your computer.

To check the DNS server on your computer, open a command prompt and type nslookup followed by the hostname of the computer you want to check. For example, if you want to check the DNS server on your computer, type nslookup www.google.com.

The command prompt will show the DNS server information for www.
