DNS servers are a fundamental part of the networking infrastructure. They allow computers on a network to resolve the names of servers and other resources by translating them into IP addresses.

However, DNS servers can also be a security vulnerability. If a hacker is able to access a DNS server, they can redirect traffic to malicious or unauthorized servers, or even hijack legitimate websites for their own purposes.

There are a few ways to disable a DNS server. The easiest way is to use the Windows Network Control Panel.

This tool allows you to configure and manage the network settings for all of the computers on your network.

To disable a DNS server, open the Network Control Panel, click on the network connection that corresponds to the DNS server, and select “Properties.” On the “General” tab, click on the “DNS Servers” button.

Select “Add.” and enter the IP address of the DNS server that you want to disable. Click on the “OK” button to save the changes.

Now, the DNS server will no longer be used to resolve domain names. If you want to re-enable the DNS server, you will need to repeat these steps.
