Proxy servers and VPNs can be a useful security feature, but they can also increase your vulnerability to online attack. If you need to disable proxy server or VPN, there are a few methods you can use.

Under the Add button, type the proxy server address into the Address box, and type the port number into the Port box.

Click the OK button.

Method 2: Disable the Proxy Server from the Command Line

You can also disable the proxy server from the command line. To do this, open the Windows Command Prompt, and type the following command:

net stop proxy

net start proxy

Method 3: Disable the Proxy Server using a Third Party Application

You can also disable the proxy server using a third party application. To do this, install theProxyServer software, and then open the application.

Under the General tab, under the Proxy Server Settings heading, type the proxy server address into the Address box, and type the port number into the Port box.
