If you use a Mac, there is a good chance that you have automatic VPN connection enabled. This feature can help protect your privacy and keep your data safe when you are using public Wi-Fi hotspots. However, you may want to disable the automatic VPN connection if you need to use your Mac in a restricted environment, such as a work or school network. There are a few different ways to disable the automatic VPN connection on a Mac.

One way is to open the System Preferences window and click on the Network icon. Under the Network section, you can select the Automatic VPN connection checkbox and uncheck it. You can also open the System Preferences window and click on the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IP) icon. Under the TCP/IP section, you can select the Use the following IP addresses for automatic VPN connection checkbox and uncheck it.
