When you first install a VPN on your Mac, you’ll likely see a VPN icon in the menu bar. However, if you want to keep the VPN icon on your desktop, you’ll need to follow a few steps.

First, open the System Preferences window. Then, click on the Security & Privacy icon. In the Security & Privacy window, click on the General tab.

Under the “Privacy” section, you’ll see a list of services. Click on the VPN icon.

In the “VPN Type” dropdown menu, select the type of VPN you want to use. If you’re using a commercial VPN, you’ll need to enter your login information.

If you’re using a free VPN, you won’t need to enter your login information.

In the “Location” dropdown menu, select the type of location you want to connect to. If you’re using a US location, you’ll need to enter your US IP address.

If you’re using a UK location, you’ll need to enter your UK IP address. If you’re using a Canadian location, you’ll need to enter your Canadian IP address.

In the “Use Default Settings” dropdown menu, select the type of VPN connection you want to use.

Click on the “OK” button.

Now, the VPN icon will stay on your desktop even if you restart your Mac.
