Domain name servers (DNS) are the servers that manage the information associated with domain names, such as the domain name, the IP address of the domain name server, and the names of the domain’s host computers. When you create a domain name, GoDaddy supplies a DNS server for you.

While you can manage your DNS settings in a few different ways, the most common way to manage your DNS settings is to use the GoDaddy DNS management tools. These tools allow you to add, edit, delete, and manage your DNS settings.

You can also use the tools to troubleshoot DNS problems.

To use the GoDaddy DNS management tools, open the DNS management console. To open the DNS management console, click the DNS icon on the toolbar in the main window of the GoDaddy website.

To add a new DNS server, click the Add New Hosts or Add New Zones link in the DNS management console. In the Add New Hosts or Add New Zones window, select the Add a New DNS Zone option.

In the Add New DNS Zone window, type the name of the zone and then click the Add button.

To edit an existing DNS server, click the Edit Hosts or Edit Zones link in the DNS management console. In the Edit Hosts or Edit Zones window, select the Edit an Existing Zone option.

In the Edit an Existing Zone window, type the name of the zone and then click the Edit button.

To delete an existing DNS server, click the Delete Hosts or Delete Zones link in the DNS management console. In the Delete Hosts or Delete Zones window, select the Delete an Existing Zone option.

In the Delete an Existing Zone window, type the name of the zone and then click the Delete button.

To troubleshoot a DNS problem, click the Troubleshoot link in the DNS management console. In the Troubleshoot window, click the DNS Problems link.

In the DNS Problems window, click the appropriate link to open the DNS problem window.
