Firewall software can be a great tool to help protect your computer from harmful internet content, but it can also inadvertently block important traffic. If you find that your firewall is preventing you from accessing certain websites or resources, there are a few steps you can take to restore access.

First, check to see if the blocked content is actually harmful. Many blocked websites are just pornography, adult content, or other risque material that is not actually harmful.

If the content is not actually harmful, you may want to try disabling your firewall temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.

If disabling your firewall does not work, you may need to contact your firewall software’s manufacturer for help. Often, firewall software can be configured to allow specific types of traffic through, or you may be able to add a rule to your firewall configuration to allow the blocked content.
