Avast is a popular antivirus software that comes with a variety of features and a free version of the software. However, like most antivirus software, Avast can be temporarily disabled.
To disable Avast, open the Avast software and click on the Settings icon. On the Settings page, click on the Protection tab.
Under the Protection heading, click on the Disable protection button. A confirmation window will open, and you can click on the Yes button to disable Avast.
