NordVPN is a popular VPN provider with a wide range of client software available for Linux. In this article, we will take a look at how the NordVPN kill switch works on Linux.

To start, NordVPN requires that all traffic be tunneled through their VPN before it is sent out to the internet. This means that any traffic that is not sent through the VPN first will be blocked.

This is implemented through a kill switch feature that blocks all traffic if the VPN connection is lost.

In order to use the kill switch, you first need to open the NordVPN client and click on the network icon in the upper-right corner. This will open the network settings window.

Under the network settings, you will need to select the VPN connection and then click on the kill switch button. This will open the kill switch settings window.

In the kill switch settings window, you will need to enter the IP address of the machine that you want to protect. You can also enter the port number that the machine is using. You will also need to enter the username and password of the machine.

Finally, you will need to select the device that you want to use for the kill switch. In our example, we will use the local network interface.

Once you have entered all of the information, you will need to click on the OK button. This will active the kill switch and block all traffic from the machine that you have specified.
