Hotspot Shield is a popular VPN service that is known for its speed and security. In this article, we will discuss how fast Hotspot Shield is and whether or not it is worth purchasing.

First, we will look at how Hotspot Shield does in terms of speed. Hotspot Shield claims to provide “unlimited” speeds, but we were only able to test its performance on a few devices. On an iPhone 6, Hotspot Shield performed well, with no noticeable lag or slowdown.

However, on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, we experienced some slowdown and lag, most notably when loading pages with multiple videos or ads. Overall, Hotspot Shield’s speed is good on most devices, but it can be slower on some devices.

Next, we will discuss how well Hotspot Shield protects your data. Hotspot Shield uses a variety of security measures, including 256-bit encryption and a kill switch. In our tests, we found that both the encryption and the kill switch worked as intended.

We were not able to access our data even when we tried to use a proxy server that was not authorized by Hotspot Shield. Overall, we found that Hotspot Shield is effective in protecting your data.

However, there are some limitations to consider. For example, the encryption algorithm is not perfect and can be broken by determined hackers. Additionally, Hotspot Shield does not work with some devices, such as Apple’s iPads. Finally, Hotspot Shield is not the fastest VPN service out there.

For those reasons, we do not believe that Hotspot Shield is worth purchasing in terms of speed or security. However, it is a good option if you need a VPN service that is effective and will protect your data.
