In this article, we are going to be discussing the topic of firewall – what it is, what it does, and whether or not F5 is a true firewall.

Firewall Basics

First and foremost, a firewall is a device or software that protects computer networks from unauthorized access. To be effective, a firewall must be able to identify and block unauthorized traffic before it can reach your networked devices.

F5 is a security product that helps protect your networks from cyber-attacks. It is a managed security service that provides real-time protection against malicious traffic, including attacks that exploit security vulnerabilities.

F5 is not a true firewall. It is not capable of blocking all types of unauthorized traffic.

It is also not able to protect your devices from attacks that exploit security vulnerabilities.
