An overview of VPN and proxy technologies
VPNs and proxies have a few key similarities. Both technologies use a network of servers to provide a secure connection to a remote destination.

VPNs encrypt your traffic while proxies route your traffic through a different server.

However, there are some key differences between VPNs and proxies. VPNs are typically faster because they use dedicated hardware and software to encrypt and decrypt your traffic.

Proxies, on the other hand, can be slower because they rely on the resources of a third-party server.

In general, VPNs are faster than proxies. However, there are some cases where a proxy can be faster.

If you are connecting to a proxy server in a foreign country, for example, a proxy may be faster than a VPN.
