Firewall Rules

When it comes to computer security, there are a few cardinal rules that always apply. One of these is to keep your computer firewall up to date.

If you are using a personal computer, your firewall should be enabled by default. If you are using a laptop or a computer that is connected to the internet, you should also enable the firewall.

Most firewalls are enabled by default with Windows, and they can be enabled on Macs, too.

Once your computer is enabled with a firewall, it’s important to understand how firewalls work.

A firewall is a device that sits between your computer and the internet. It monitors all the traffic that comes into your computer and blocks any traffic that is not allowed.

When you connect to the internet, your computer sends out a request for information. This request is called a request for service (RFS).

A firewall can be configured to allow or deny any RFS that comes into your computer.

If a request for service is not allowed by the firewall, the request is blocked.

This is why it is important to keep your firewall up to date. If a new version of a software is released that includes a new RFS, the old version of the software may not be able to access the internet.

The most important thing to remember when it comes to computer security is to always be aware of what is happening on your computer and to keep your firewall up to date.
