VPN Proxy Settings: What They Are and How to Use Them
VPN proxy settings are used to hide the true IP address of your computer or device when you are using a virtual private network (VPN). By default, your computer will send your web traffic through the VPN server, and your true IP address will be hidden.

However, if you want to use the VPN proxy settings, you will need to change your computer’s settings to use the proxy server.

To use the VPN proxy settings, first open the Windows Control Panel and click on the Network and Internet link. You will then need to click on the Network and Sharing Center link.

This will open the Network and Sharing Center.

Click on the Change adapter settings link. This will open the Network and Sharing Center.

Click on the Networking link.

Click on the Wi-Fi link.

Click on theConnect to a network link. This will open the Connect to a network window.

Click on the Networks link. This will open the Networks window.

Click on theLAN settings link. This will open the LAN settings window.

Click on theAdvanced settings link. This will open the Advanced settings window.

Click on theProxies link. This will open the Proxies window.

Click on theAdd a proxy server link. This will open the Add a proxy server window.

Type the IP address of the VPN proxy server into the Address field.

Type the port number of the VPN proxy server into the Port field.

Click on theOK button. This will save the proxy server settings.

Click on theClose button. This will close the Network and Sharing Center.

Click on theVPN link. This will open the VPN connection window.

Click on theConnect button. This will connect your computer to the VPN.

Your computer’s true IP address will now be hidden when you are using the VPN proxy settings.
