When DNS is not used, the client computer will use the IP address of the router as its default DNS server. This means that if the router is not configured to act as a DNS server, the client computer will not be able to resolve DNS queries.

If the router is not configured to act as a DNS server, the client computer may be able to access the Internet using a network address translator (NAT) or through a manually configured DNS server.

If the client computer is using a dynamically assigned IP address, it may not be possible to connect to the Internet using a manually configured DNS server. In this case, the client computer may need to be reconfigured to use a static IP address.

If the client computer is using a static IP address, the client computer may need to be reconfigured to use the router’s DNS server.
