A DNS server is a computer system that is used to handle the requests for domain names and IP addresses. A DNS server stores the names of the websites and the corresponding IP addresses. When someone types in a domain name, such as “www.google.

com”, the DNS server looks up the domain name in its database. If the domain name is not found, the DNS server will look up the IP address for the website. If the IP address is not found, the DNS server will return a website’s IP address in the form of a DNS record.
