A firewall is a security device that monitors and protects a network from unauthorized access. In order to diagnose network problems and troubleshoot network issues, you need to open certain ports on your firewall.

Ping is a network diagnostic tool that uses ICMP packets to test the reachability of remote hosts.

In order to use Ping, you need to open the following ports on your firewall:

TCP: 80, 443, 1935, 5223

UDP: 53, 88, 139, 445, 587

ICMP: 1, 3, 4, 8, 17, 18

If you are using a commercial firewall, it is likely that the firewall manufacturer has already opened these ports for you. If you are not using a commercial firewall, you will need to open these ports on your firewall.
