Windows 10 includes a firewall that lets you protect your computer against unauthorized access from the internet, your local area network (LAN), or other systems. The firewall helps protect your computer and data from unauthorized access by blocking incoming traffic that is not intended for your computer.

To use the firewall, open the Control Panel, and then click Security and Privacy. In the Security and Privacy window, click Firewall. In the Firewall window, click the Allow a program through the firewall check box. In the Program or feature list, select the program you want to allow through the firewall. In the Allow list, select the allow all radio button. If you want to allow a program through the firewall only for specific ports, select the port number in the Port list.

In the Type of access list box, select the type of access you want to allow for the program. If you want to allow a program through the firewall only for specific IP addresses, select the IP address in the Address list. In the Advanced button, select the Allow all outgoing connections radio button. Click OK.

If you want to allow a program through the firewall only for specific ports, select the port number in the Port list.
