If you have a firewall installed on your computer, it may be blocking your wireless network. To fix this, you will need to disable the firewall.

To disable the firewall:

1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Under the Network and Internet heading, click Network and Sharing Center.
3. In the Network and Sharing Center window, click the 3 vertical lines in the top-left corner of the window.
4. In the window that opens, click the Change adapter settings link.
5. Under the Networking tab, click the Wi-Fi link.
6. In the Wi-Fi Connection Properties window, click the Security tab.

7. Under the Security heading, click the button that says Allow other programs to access this computer’s Internet connection.
8. Click OK.
9. Close the Network and Sharing Center window.
10. Restart your computer.
11. If the firewall is still blocking your wireless network, repeat steps 5-10.
