Firewall Configurations

There are three firewall configurations that are commonly used in business networks:

1. Router-based firewall
2.

Host-based firewall
3. Network-based firewall.

Router-based firewall
This type of firewall is typically used at the router level and is configured to protect the entire network. The router-based firewall allows specific traffic to pass through while blocking all other traffic.

This type of firewall is typically used in small business and home networks.

Host-based firewall
This type of firewall is typically used at the host level and is configured to protect specific applications and hosts on the network. The host-based firewall allows specific traffic to pass through while blocking all other traffic.

This type of firewall is typically used in medium to large business networks.

Network-based firewall
This type of firewall is typically used at the network level and is configured to protect all devices on the network. The network-based firewall allows specific traffic to pass through while blocking all other traffic.

This type of firewall is typically used in large business networks.
