If the domain controller points to itself for DNS but the SRV records still do not appear in the zone, it is likely that the domain controller is not configured to use the DNS servers specified in the zone.

The easiest way to check this is to use the nslookup command. For example:

nslookup mydomain.com

This will show the SRV records for mydomain.com.

If the records do not appear, then the domain controller is not configured to use the DNS servers specified in the zone.

If the domain controller is not configured to use the DNS servers specified in the zone, then you will need to configure the domain controller to use the DNS servers specified in the zone. You can do this by using the Dcpromo tool or by using the netsh command.
