Mail can be sent to a domain using a variety of methods, but the most common way is to use the Domain Name System (DNS). DNS records are used to map domain names to their corresponding IP addresses.

In order to send mail to a domain, the DNS records for that domain must be set up.

The most common DNS records that are used to send mail are the MX record and the A record. The MX record maps the domain name to the mail server that is responsible for handling mail for that domain.

The A record maps the domain name to the IP address of the mail server. The IP address for the mail server can be found by looking at the hostname column in the output of the dig command.
