Firewall zones are areas on a computer system where different types of traffic are allowed or blocked. There are three primary firewall zones:

Inbound: This is the area of the firewall where incoming connections are accepted.

This is the area of the firewall where incoming connections are accepted. Outbound: This is the area of the firewall where outgoing connections are allowed.

This is the area of the firewall where outgoing connections are allowed. DMZ: This is the area of the firewall where computers and devices that are not part of the organization’s network but are still connected to the Internet can be connected to the organization’s network.
